BORMANN MARTIN: (1900-1945) Nazi Official, head of the Party Chancellery and Private Secretary to Adolf Hitler. T.L.S., Bormann, one page, 4to, Obersalzberg (Eagle´s nest), 22nd June 1939, to Gauleiter Franz Hofer, Innsbruck, in German. Bormann responds to his correspondent´s letter, stating `I was delighted to receive your good wishes for my birthday; I am sending you my warm regards. ''Heil Hitler!''´ Accompanied by Gauleiter Hofer´s letter to Bormann, dated 16th June 1939, bearing an ink stamp from the Fuhrer´s office and a blind embossed seal with the eagle and swastika to the upper left corner. Both with four file holes to the left borders and very small trace of a former staple not affecting the texts or signatures. About VG, 2
Franz Hofer (1902-1975) Nazi Gauleiter of the Tyrol. As the area's supreme Nazi, Hofer dealt directly with Hitler or with the Führer's deputy, Martin Bormann. Hofer is often considered the father of the Redoubt.
