BERNHARDT SARAH: (1844-1923) French stage Actress. The most prominent actress of her time. A.L.S., Sarah Bernhardt, one page, 12mo, Paris, May 1892, to Albert Carré, Theatre Vaudeville, in French. The document being a Parisian telegram postmarked. Bernhardt, in her usual difficult writing, states in part `My dear Carré, I spent my journey and my evening away and only received your message when I returned
