Silver and ancient roman glass Besomim holder, Israel, 20th century.
Ancient Roman glass found in archaeologist’s dig in Jerusalem, possibly 2000 years old, set in silver gilt Persian style crown chased with Jerusalem wall motifs. Crown sits on centre of pomegranate housing the Besomim, with sliding door. tHE S shaped stem connects pomegranate to domed base, adorned with leaves.
