Beautiful old ritual mask made of hard wood and kaolin.
Eket ethnicity, Ibibio subgroup.

White mask.
Large dimensions. Beautiful height of 36 cm and a weight of 950 grams.

Small and upturned nose, protruding mouth.
Eyes.
Scarifications on each side of the nose.
Stripes of various colours on the sides: dark wood, kaolin and light wood.


In good condition considering its age. Without damage nor break.
It remained in its original unrestored, with a worn surface.
The kaolin disappeared by places.

It has not been cleansed or washed, as some collectors prefer to leave objects in their original condition.
