An A.L.S., 1960, to his personal printed stationery, stating in part `The response has been wonderful, though of course I´m getting one or two abusive letters..´; Sybil Thorndike (1882-1976) English actress; Eleanor Farjeon (1881-1965) English author and poet. Two letters. On her printed stationery, 1953, the children´s stories writer states `I don´t see why "Mother Hutch" shouldn´t turn to puppetry, so do your best and your worst with her in this way
I make this little book of plays serve two purposes when I can: To please some children (I hope), and to benefit others.´; Eric Shipton (1907-1977) British Mountaineer. Referring to the Everest, states `The expedition is purely for reconnaissance purpose with a view to a possible full scale attempt in the future, but naturally should conditions prove favourable we intend to attempt the summit this time.´; Sir John Laurence Longland (1905-1993) British mountaineer and broadcaster; Michael Foot (1913-2010) British Politician and former journalist. On the House of commons printed stationery, Foot states in part `I do think the Nottingham Hosier´s speech in my bock is a wonderful one and I think it has got many modern relevances as well.´; Denis Healey (1917-2015) British politician, Secretary of State for defence 1964-70.
