Attributed to Antonio Travi "Il Sordo di Sestri" (Sestri Ponente, 1608-Genoa, 1665) Coastal view with tower and figures. Oil on canvas. Certificates from the art historian Rodolfo Pallucchini and Professor Sergio Dondi from the Italian Archaeological Academy will be attached. 93 x 123 cm. Italian painter of the Baroque period, born in Sestri, near Genoa, he was generally known as Il Sordo di Sestri due to his deafness. He did an apprenticeship with Bernardo Strozzi. The turning point that gave it some greatness was the choice of the landscape genre. Before 1630 Gottfried Wals of Cologne had been welcomed by Strozzi and from him received his influence, thanks to which Travi discovered his true vocation, to become a landscaper.
