Nu is an original etching realized by Jean Fautrier in 1937. Hand signed in pencil on lower right margin, Artist's proof. Excellent conditions. Elegant laying female figure realized by the artist before the Second World War. The contour lines are not defined and the shapes of the body are rounded. This artwork influenced the next work of the artist: the face of the figure is similar to the subjects of the "Otages" which was realized by Fautrier between 1942 and 1945.
