Italian ebony, bone and ivory travelling desk - Lombardy 19th Century; ; ebony veneered (Diospyros spp), inlaid with bone and elephant ivory (Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797 or Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758) with daily life scenes, flowers, animals and phytomorphic elements. Concealed drawer on the right hand side. Dimensions 12 x 47 x 35 cm. Item condition grading: **** good. Accompanied by Ce.S.Ar. Centro Studi Archeometrici certificate of antiquity (pre-1947).
