... R. Shneur Zalman Grossman and R. Moshe Barzel of Yerushalayim’ to the American Relief Committee of the Bukovina Kollel. Signatures of Rabbi Moshe Kliers, Rabbi of Teverya and Rabbi Avraham Leib Silberman, Rabbi of Tzefas, together with other leading Rabbis of Tzefas and Teverya.
Rabbi Avraham Leib Silberman (1889-1947), grandson of Rabbi Refael Silberman, Rabbi of the Ashkenazim of Tzefas. A follower of the Rebbe of Stefanesti. Appointed Dayan of Tzefas in 1909 and Chief Rabbi of the town in 1918, and was active in its expansion and spiritual development. Contributor to rabbinical journals Kol Torah and Shaarei Tzion.
Rabbi Moshe Kliers (1876-1934), headed Yeshiva Or Torah at the grave of Rabbi Meir Baal Haness in Teverya and from 1909 Rabbi of the Ashkenazi community in the city. An adherent of the Rebbes of Slonim and a highly respected rabbinical figure. Author of Toras Ha’aretz and other works.
