Letter of thanks for assistance received from Ezras Torah relief organisation by Rabbi Yerucham Asher Warhaftig. 7th Cheshvan 5740 (October 1940).
Rabbi Yerucham Asher Warhaftig (1875-1967), disciple of Rabbi Chaim Soloweichik of Brisk, Rabbi Eliezer Gordon of Telz, Rabbi Shimon Shkopf and the ‘Alter’ of Novardok. Maggid Shiur in Novardok and Rosh Yeshiva at Novardok Yeshiva in Warsaw. Settled in Yerushalayim in 1933, where he was recognised as a leading Torah scholar. Author of Divrei Yerucham and other rabbinic works.
