BECQUEREL ANTOINE HENRI: (1852-1908) French Physicist. Becquerel is credited as the first person to discover evidence of radioactivity. Awarded for his works in this field with the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903, together with Marie and Pierre Curie. An extremely rare manuscript document by Becquerel, being scientific notes, including formulas and calculations, one page, oblong 4to, ruled paper, n.p., n.d., in French. The manuscript includes Becquerel´s notes concerning X-rays, electrolysis, atoms and electrons, with formulas and equations. A document of very rare and interesting scientific content.
