FORTON LOUIS: (1879-1934) French Cartoonist. A Pioneer in the field. Best known as the creator in 1908 of the comic strips Les Pieds Nickelés, as well as Bibi Fricotin. Very rare original ink drawn strip page, the ten vignettes being hand-drawn by Forton, corresponding to a 1947 comic strip of the Pieds Nickelés, and featuring the three main characters of the well-known comic series. The drawings and text clipped pieces are neatly and carefully affixed to a slightly larger card, to an overall of 9.5 x 12.5, composing the full comic strip plate for edition. One vignette is missing to the bottom left corner, otherwise G to VG
