Friendship is a beautiful and original colored lithograph from the portfolio "Erotica" by Egon Schiele.
It is a reproduction of the homonym artwork realized in watercolor, gouache, and pencil by the Austrian master in 1913. Edition of 1200 copies, printed by Marinoni-Voirin, and published by Editions Anthèse, Paris, 2007.
This wonderful plate is signed on plate on the lower right margin with the year of creation in a cartouche; it is titled on plate on lower left in a cartouche, too.
This touching artwork represents a tender hug between two friends or lovers, and is realized with the typical and amazing nervous line in Schiele's style.
Today, the original drawing is preserved in a private collection.
Erotica is a portfolio including 20 lithographs on cardboard, representing original erotic drawings realized by the Austrian master between 1910-1918.
In perfect conditions: as good as new.
