Father Malice
Original etching on paper, 33 x 50 cm
Le Père Malice is an original artwork realized by Jules Jacques Veyrassat in the second half of the XIX century.
Titled on plate.
The artwork represents a man with two dogs and a small house on the right. The chiaroscuro defines the volumes of the figures. There is a high contrast between the dark and the lighter parts.
The artwork was realized by the French artist Jules Jacques Veyrassat (1828 - 1895). He was a pupil of Lehman and started exhibiting at the Salon from 1848, winning medals in 1866 and 1869 for engraving, a medal in 1872 for painting, and becoming a Chevalier of the Legion d’Honneur in 1878.
Good conditions, except for some foxings on the margins of the sheet. Passepartout included (cm 50.5 x 70).
