The title page includes the following statement:
‘According to tradition, having this book in the home brings great protection, especially in the house of a woman giving birth, [this tradition goes back to] the holy gaon Rabbi Shalom of Belz’. Long introduction by Rabbi Meir David Herzberg, including the following quote,
‘I heard from the Rabbi of Pomaren [Pomorzany], who heard from his grandfather Rabbi Moshe Rokach of Kariv, that his father the holy gaon Rav Sar Shalom of Belz said about this book that it brings great protection in every house, and especially to the house of a woman in childbirth’
