COLLECTION OF LETTERS FROM THE FAMOUS RABBINIC SCHOLAR AND WRITER RABBI MENASHE GROSSBERG, OF TERESTINA AND LONDON, TO RABBI YOSEF HALEVY OF LONDON.
Eleven erudite letters written by the noted scholar, writer and publisher Rabbi Menashe Grossberg, of Terestina and London. The letters are full of interesting ideas and information covewring a wide range of Torah subjects and science.
In one letter, dated 1908, the writer enquires about a vacancy at the Montefiore College in Ramsgate and asks to be recommended to Chief Rabbi Herman Adler for the post.
Rabbi Menashe Grossberg (1860-1927), famous Torah scholar from Terestina, Poland, who settled in London. Editor and publisher of numerous rabbinic texts from ancient manuscripts and author of Shaalos U’Teshuvos Shevet Menashe and Rosh Menashe - rabbinical correspondence adressed to him by Rabbi Chaim Berlin.
