Letter of authorisation issued in 1872 to ‘the bachur Shimshon Neufeld of Selish (Szollos)’ by Rabbi Yehuda Altman, with the stamp of his father-in-law Rabbi Shraga Tzvi Tennenbaum.

Rabbi Yehuda Altman (1859-1923), disciple of Rabbi Yehoshua Baruch Reinitz and son-in-law of Rabbi Shraga Tzvi Tennenbaum, Rabbi of Mezocsat. Succeeded his father-in-law as Rabbi of Mezocsat and established a yeshiva there. Author of Mei Yehuda.

Rabbi Shimshon Neufeld  (1881-1944), disciple of the Neta Sorek and Shevet Sofer and son-in-law of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Tennenbaum of Torno, where he also served as Rabbi and lecturer at the Yeshiva. Rabbi of Diosgyor (1907) and Rosh Beth Din of Miskolcz from 1925.
