1. Document on official stationery signed and stamped by Rabbi Ferber, and signed by five community leaders, dated Ellul 1915, recording a meeting held to appease Mr Rubinstein, gabbai of the Brewer Street Talmud Torah and Bikur Cholim Synagogue.

2. Document in Rabbi Ferber’s handwriting on his official stationery, recording instructions by Mr Reuven son of Ahron Kerner, related to his estate, and the donation of a Shas and Five Megillos to the West End Talmud Torah and Bikur Cholim Synagogue in Brewer Street, dated 1914. Countersigned and witnessed in 1916.

3. Document signed by two parties to a dispute, undertaking to be bound by the ruling of the Rabbi. 1914.

4. Long Yiddish letter by Rabbi Ferber, dated 1921, addressed to the Chairman and Committee of his community. An upsetting letter asking why he [Rabbi Ferber] had not been invited to attend the secret meeting regarding his position. ‘... The entire community, including the Chief Rabbi and the Dayanim, know that there is no Rabbi who had done half as much for his community as I have. But for the past three or four years they have been stopping me from raising my head and being active, and have also spread foolish false rumours about me...’  

Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Ferber (1879-1966), leading London Rabbi and head of the Hisachdus Harabanim in England, born in Lithuania and studied under Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor of Kovno, Rabbi Yitzchak Blazer and Rabbi Naftali Amsterdam. He was a leading rabbinical scholar and headed an independent community in the West End of London. First Rosh Yeshiva of Manchester Yeshiva. Talented speaker and author of 14 rabbinic works, including Kerem Hatzvi.
