Rabbi Meir Margolios was a voluminous author and Haderech Hatov Vehayashar is the fourth part of a series entitled Or Olom, and was written by the author of Meir Nessivim for his son Rabbi Shaul.
Rabbi Meir Margolios (1707-1790), highly regarded Rabbi of Horodenka, Lvov and Ostroh, author of Meir Nessivim, was one of the earliest and closest disciples of the Baal Shem Tov, as referred to by his son Rabbi Betzalel in an approbation written for Shivchei Habaal Shem Tov.
