A collection of interesting correspondence by legendary Agudas Yisrael leader Rabbi Moshe Blau (and his son Rabbi Amram), some written during his visit to London, regarding communal affairs. They include letters and an alarming telegram sent by Rabbi Yechezkel Abramski, Dayan Lazarus and Dayan Grunfeld of the London Beth Din inviting Rabbi Ferber to an emergency meeting regarding the famous Yaldei Teheran affair: ‘Rabbi Herzog has sent a reply by telegram ... the Yaldei Teheran are very disappointed. We have not received a reply to our demands from the Jewish Agency ...’

8 handwritten letters from Rabbi Moshe Blau to Rabbi Ferber during his visit to London and Manchester in 1945, 1 typewritten letter referring to his return to Eretz Yisrael, and 1 typewritten letter from Yerushlayim.

Rabbi Moshe Uri Blau (1886-1946), student and assistant to Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld – Rabbi of Yerushalayim’s orthodox community. An active leader and spokesman of Agudas Yisrael and of the Eida Charedis in Yerushalayim. Torah scholar, talented speaker and writer, and editor of Agudas Yisrael’s weekly paper Kol Yisrael.

Rabbi Amram Blau (1886-1946), Agudas Yisrael activist and writer. Author of Shomer Hachomos – devoted to his father’s life story and ideology.

Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Ferber (1879-1966), leading London Rabbi and head of the Hisachdus Harabanim in England, born in Lithuania and studied under Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor of Kovno, Rabbi Yitzchak Blazer and Rabbi Naftali Amsterdam. He was a leading rabbinical scholar and headed an independent community in the West End of London. First Rosh Yeshiva of Manchester Yeshiva. Talented speaker and author of 14 rabbinic works, including Kerem Hatzvi.
