RARE BESELER 4X5 INCH CAMERA, TYPE C-6
RARE Beseler 4x5 inch Camera, Type C-6, Specification MIL-C-4137, made for the Air Force in its original case. The camera is in amazingly good condition. It looks like it has hardly been used.It has a focal plane shutter that still works and a nice ground glass with fresnel screen in a back that is similar to a Graflok. The lens is a Wollensak Raptar 135mm f4.7 in a Rapax Shutter. The shutter works well. Theground glass has a cover that opens to block out the light. The bellows are in very good shape. The viewfinder is clear. The focusing is smooth. There is a small nick in the leather on the bottom of the frontdoor which you can see in the pictures. The camera has some black paint loss in various places but is probably one of the best examples of this camera that you will ever find. The camera is a bit tricky to close as the front
