A roman green chalcedony intaglio. Marine scene.

8 x 10 x 3 mm 4 x 7 x 2 mm 5 x 6 x 2 mm
The scene is composed with three different marine creatures: a shrimp, a cuttlefish and a shell with the mollusc inside. These animals are finely engraved with the use of small globular elements. The general composition reminds the roman mosaic art. Probably an allegorical emblema. Attractive color of the stone. Ancient wear marks.
