A street artist created a series of works about Josef the penguin.

Works are sold at various auctions, including the " Own " auction.

"The Penguins flew series is an expected reflection from any artist on one of the most relevant events of this year — the pandemic. I cover the problem not of the virus itself, but of the immediate consequences of the current situation — the problems of territorial movements, stopping air traffic, assessing the safety of cities and countries based on the epidemiological situation, and the additional desire of people to move and visit places of interest fostered by restrictions.

The cells that have become our homes and apartments have become small centers of the world for everyone. As a result, the forced restriction creates a desire to destroy borders and just move. This includes an element of surrealism, which is inherent in the concept of absurdity of the plot — even the penguins could not stand it and flew.

They do not fly thoughtlessly. Throughout the series, the penguins fly through different places, events, cities, and countries, and I reflect their attitude, reasoning, and conclusions about the place using the flight path. So in the picture "Penguins flew fair" smart birds decided not to stop in a place of mass congestion of people. But they really want to. They want to get that drop of fun."
