Japanese Imperial Naval Sword
Fine condition sword in the style of the Japanese Imperial Navy model 1883. The guard in bright gilt over brass and with decorated panels of floral motifs. Grip twisted wire wrap over ray skin. Marked to the guard (SA) and with several roman numerals just above the ricasso. Blade is a single edge with two shallow fuller. 32 1/2" L overall, blade 27" L
