Classic: Sefer Shaarei Teshuvah – The Rare Cracow Edition, Cracow 1581

A beautiful copy of Sefer Sha’arei Teshuvah, Cracow 1581. Sha’arei Teshuvah is one of the foremost Sifrei Mussar, which was written by Rabbeinu Yonah of Gerondi (c. 1243-1263). In it he expounds on the concept of Teshuvah (repentance) and exactly how it is attained. It is said that Rabbeinu Yonah wrote Shaarei Teshuva to atone for his attacks on the Rambam, and to emphasize his repentance. Shaarei Teshuva is widely studied until today, especially in the Yeshiva world, during the month of Elul.

Also included is Sefer Hayirah, another work authored by Rabbeinu Yonah (pp. 38-44).

This Cracow edition is of utmost rarity and rarely appears at auction.

In excellent condition. Yitzchok b. Aharon of Prostitz Press, Cracow 1581.

44 pp.
