The holy Ga'on Rabbi Aharon David Deitsch (1813-1878), a great genius, righteous and exalted. One of the greatest Jewish leaders in Hungary. He was born in 1813 in Brodnitz, in which he was born to Rabbi Avraham Aharon son of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Deitsch, author of Divrei Yosef, when he was 13 years old moved to Prague in poverty and in lack of all. There he studied in the Yeshiva of the Gaon Rabbi Lev Gluge. From 1830, when he was sixteen years old, he moved to Pressburg and studied with the Gaon, author of Chatam Sofer, during which time he treated himself with dowry and subjugation and learned Torah out of total celibacy and holiness. Was from the great Students of the Chatam Sofer in Torah and righteousness, until they favoured him very much and they nick-named him R. David Prague, following an act that was, the Chatam Sofer said about him - "that he was destined for the life of the World to Come! And when he is about to pray, he relies on the strength of his prayer. "Since the year 1846 he was a priest in the Rabbinate of Shabash, where he fought against infidels and corrupt Jews. From 1853 he served as Av Beit Din of Balasha Yarmut for twenty-seven years, until his death on C”G Nissan 1878, where he headed a large yeshiva with many students. He managed the systems to preserve the character of the communities, wrote hundreds of letters to the rabbis of Hungary and Galicia to put religion on the wall. Part of his great Torah was printed in the Responsa Goren David II.
