First Edition, Complete Set of Sefer Chok L'Yisrael; Cario, Egypt 1740

Sefer Chok L'Yisrael, a daily learning schedule consisting of both the Written and Oral Torah.

The sefer is based upon the writings of Rabbi Chaim Vital, who based his own writings on the teachings of the holy Ar"i. The sefer was then organized and edited by Chacham Rabbi Yitzchak Baruch of Egypt.

Sefer Chok L'Yisrael was embraced by all segments of Judaism and reprinted countless times. This first edition was published by Rabbi Avraham Yassom. He opened his printing press in Egypt that very year, and this is the only sefer ever to be published there.
