Chemdas Yamim, Part 3 - Moadim, Kushta, 1735. Signatures.
Chemdas Yamim is comprised of customs and laws with ethical rebukes according to Kabbalah as per the Ari HaKadosh. This sefer was first printed in Izmir and was the source of controversy among Kabbala sages, since they linked it to the Shabbateans opinions. Ultimately, this morphed into a lone outlook, while the rest of the Kabbalists accepted it as a fundamental Kabbalah work for the entire year.
The author’s identity is unknown. Rabbi Yakov Emden opined that Nathan of Gaza, a Shabbatean, was the author, and hence was opposed to the book. In 1731 the book was printed by Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov Algazi, who wrote that he copied it from an anonymous manuscript that he purchased near Safed.
