This book was brought to print by the author's grandson, Rabbi Binyamin Mordechai Navon, Ra"avad of Jerusalem, with a lengthy foreword by him. The first part was printed in the author's lifetime, about 100 years after the part before us. The reason this part was printed so much later was because this work Pri M'Pri includes solutions to some difficulties raised by the Ohr HaChaim in his book Pri Toar on the content of the book Pri Chadash. There is a warning by the Ohr HaChaim for whoever criticizes him with respect to these halachahs. There were indeed those who criticized him, but they hesitated to print their criticisms - so it was that this book was printed only many years later.
