Akedat Treblinke, Gedanken und Refleksen (The Treblinka Akedah, Thoughts and Reflexions)
Shanghai, 1946 By Rabbi Simcha Elbergwho later became one of the most prominent of US Rabbis.
Rabbi Simcha Elberg was editor of "Ha-Pardes" and chairman of the executive board of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada. Born in Warsaw, 1915. During the years of the Holocaust fled to Vilna and from there arrived with the Mir Yeshiva congregation to Shanghai in China.
He came to New York in 1947 and served as editor of Ha-Pardes, the rabbinic law journal published by the Union of Orthodox Rabbis. He also was the author of multi volume books on rabbinic law and Talmudical concepts as well as a historical bibliography of prewar Poland. He was on the executive committee of Agudath Israel of America. Passed away in 1995.
