A LARGE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN BOWL, MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY. RARE DESIGN decorated with just a geometric band around the exterior foot wall In the centre is a standing heron, together with various plants and blossoms. The surrounding wall is decorated with a pattern featuring lotus leaf.
There is a hairline to the wall and a small chip to the rim. No signs of repair or restoration.
