Castiçal em bronze, séc. XVII. Alt. aprox.: 12,5 cm.
Candlestick in bronze, 17th century, with baluster-shaped shaft and raised circular base. Cup with double perforation. Defects, stains, and flaws.
Approx. height: 12.5 cm.
This candlestick is also known as a "capstan" because it resembles the shape of a naval capstan.
Similar pieces are part of the collection of the National Museum of Ancient Art, Lisbon, and are illustrated in "Furniture and its time - Portuguese Furniture from the National Museum of Ancient Art, 15th-19th centuries, " Portuguese Institute of Cultural Heritage, 1985-1987, nos. 149 and 149a, pp 38-39.
Chandelier en bronze, du 17ème siècle, avec un fût en forme de balustre et une base circulaire surélevée. Coupe avec double perforation. Défauts, taches et imperfections.
Hauteur approximative : 12,5 cm.
Ce chandelier est également connu sous le nom de "cabestan" car il ressemble à la forme d'un cabestan naval.
