Pair of D. Maria candlesticks in Portuguese silver, 18th/19th century. Decorated with beaded borders. With Lisbon mark (L-36.0), in use from c.1795 to 1803, and the maker's mark IB. (L-317.0), by João Estanislau Xavier de Barros, datable from c.1799 to c.1805, re-marked with two old man's heads. Scratches, stains, and small defects. (2) Approx. weight: 592.5 g; Approx. height: 17.6 cm.
