Rabbi Eliyahu Yeluz (1860-1929) Av Beit Din of Tiberias and of her famaus sages. was born in the town of Madgiza in Morocco, immigrated to Tiberias with his father in 1873, and in 1893 was appointed as a member of the rabbinical court and a few years later To the Ra'avad. After the 1929 riots he weakened, and at the end of that year he passed away, wrote many books and some even printed in his lifetime. From his writings the Responsa "Yesh Me'ayin" was Famaus.
