The second auction in support of the Borey Art Center»
The Northern Auction House continues to help the Borey Art Center. Our goal is to help the gallery cope with the consequences of the pandemic and gain additional momentum for new exhibition projects.
The auction, which will be held on July 1 at 20:00, will feature graphics and paintings by artists of the Leningrad underground, nonconformists and independent contemporary authors from the collection of the Borey Gallery.
In 2021, Borey celebrates its thirtieth anniversary. During the year of work, the art center managed to form a unique and extensive collection of Leningrad and St. Petersburg paintings of the second half of the XX century. Part of this collection — 71 works, 29 authors-will be put up for the first time at our auction.

Васильева Ирина — петербургский художник-график, автор многочисленных работ жанровых и сюжетных серий, предметных натюрмортов и портретов, выполненных в технике линогравюры. Ирина Васильева – наследница традиций живописцев «арефьевского круга», участница выставок группы «Митьки» с 1997, воспитанница классической школы искусства. Её художественный язык прост и лаконичен, творческая манера невероятно эмоциональная и убедительная. Произведения художницы часто перекликаются с эстетикой примитива и русского лубка, иллюстрируют образы непредсказуемой обыденности. Жёсткие линии силуэтов предметов и фигур, тёмный фон рождают из глубины пространства героев нашего времени. У И. Васильевой свой яркий и неповторимый стиль, огромный творческий потенциал и жизнеутверждающая позиция.
