Le Petit Français illustré, a newspaper for schoolboys and schoolgirls, is a French illustrated weekly founded in March 1889 by Armand Colin and intended for young people. It mainly consisted of stories in sequels and educational chronicles. Disappeared in November 1905.
As early as 1889, Christophe published a comic strip there, in the form of sequences of drawings with text arranged in recitative below the pictures, which constituted the first 2, La Famille Fenouillard; Then, until 1904, Les Facéties du sapeur Camember, L'Idée fixe du savant Cosinus and Les Malices de Plick et Plock.
The last issue was published on November 25, 1905.
