Simchat Levav First Edition of the Pat lechem Commentary on Chovat Halevavot - Shklov, 1803

Sefer Simchat Levav "which is Sefer Torat Chovat Halevavot with a new commentary ... Pat lechem". A commentary on Sefer Torat Chovat Halevavot by Rabbeinu Bechaye, by Rabbi Chaim Avraham Katz (passed away in 1804) Maggid Meisharim of Mahlov. This commentary is one of the most common commentaries on Chovat Halevavot and was reprinted dozens of times since the publishing of this edition. Approbations by the rabbis of Shklov, Mahlov and Amtzislav. Printed in Shklov in 1803. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod 458. 6, 127, 122-130; 92 leaves. 


Moth damage, stains and tears. Detached leaves and sheets. Old, blemished and detached binding. Poor overall condition. 


On the title page, a handwritten notation: "נדבת הרב המנוח, מו"ה יעקב ז"ל מווילנא לביהמ"ד מנחם ציון...". On the flyleaf, a notation: "ישיבת דובער מאנשעווישץ ז"ל במאה שערים".
