Russian Parisians Digging Their Graves. Ration Sheet.
Spanish Blue Division WW2 Ration Sheet design. This striking multi- color 8 x 12 food ration sheet is printed in Spanish. It is related to the Falangist or Fascist movement led by Francisco Franco that was allied to Nazi Germany during WW2. This sheet commemorates the Division Azul (Blue Division). This division comprised of elite forces that fought with Nazis against the Russians on the eastern front. One side of the sheet has 10 "Social Auxiliary" (charitable) ration coupons each redeemable for a different commodity such as rice, sugar, bread, beans, salt, or corn. The perforations around each coupon are visible on the pictorial side which adds a unique 3D texture to the picture which looks hand painted. A very unusual and unique WW2 related numismatic items.
