Unique. First edition printed in the author's lifetime. Melechet Machshevet, with the copper-engraved artistically illustrated title page  - Venice 1710.
Sermons on the Torah by Rabbi Moshe Chefetz, one of the greatest Italian sages.

After the completion of the book, to some copies were added an illustrated title page, the author's portrait, varied sketches, Rules of Research at the beginning of the book and a Table of Errors at its end.
See Ginzei Yisrael 649.
He wrote that most of these additions or part of them were omitted from many copies, mainly the Rules of Research, which were printed after the printing of the book was completed.

This special copy contains all of the rare additions, including the illustrated title page! The copy was printed without the author's portrait and the leaf of sketches.
One of the leaves of the Rules of Research (Klalei Hamechkar) does not appear in the copy of the National Library.

In his introduction, the author writes very strongly against his opponents.
Rabbi Moshe Chefetz (1673-1711)  was born in Trieste and grew up in Venice, where he taught Torah to many students. He was also knowledgeable in science and research.
This book was written in memory of his son Rabbi Gershom, author of Sefer Yad Charuzim, who passed away in his youth.
