Meissen ”Snake-handled Vase” - Meissen ”Snake-handled Vase” Designed by Ernst August Leuteritz in 1861, underglazed blue sword mark Pfeifferzeit 1924-1934, 1. Choice, incised model number E153, Bossierer number 54 as well as brushed decor number, two-piece screwed amphora vase with round foot and two high-set handles in the form of two plastic pairs of serpents winding from acanthus leaves, richly decorated with ornamental friezes in relief in the classicist style, royal blue partial base and reserve on the front with ”bouquet of flowers” in fine polychrome onglaze painting as well as gold cartouche and gold decoration, these barely visibly rubbed, otherwise in good condition, h 29.5 cm.
