Meissen grand pendulum ”The Four Elements” - Meissen grand pendulum ”The Four Elements” designed by Friedrich Elias Meyer in 1754, underglaze blue sword mark after 1947, 1st choice, model number 60823 and bossier number 38. Model number 60823 and bossierer number 38 with year mark for 1997, clock case in rococo form on three rocaille feet, richly decorated with lush rocaille relief, sculptural trimming of four putti with animal and attribute as allegories, numerous modelled blossoms as well as the movement surrounded by a snake biting its tail as an allegory of eternity, all with fine polychrome onglaze painting and gold staffage, movement with white enamel dial, Roman numerals, openwork brass hands and striking mechanism on bell, movement is running, key included, one leaf at the foot of the right putto bumped, otherwise very good condition, h 47.5 cm.
