TWO PAIRS OF JAPANESE BRONZE VASES, MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912). The first with tall neck, cast with lappets and pierced beast handles, the globular body with birds amongst flowers, 25.7cm high and the second pair with pierced flower-spray handles, the bodies cast with birds amongst prunus, on pierced floral integral stands and gilt lined foot rim, 25.5cm high The first pair in good order, some minor wear.
The second pair - one floral handle cracked and partly detached, another handle is loose, only one with gilt lined base, one with some very small holes to integral base, some wear overall.
