Three Portrait Miniatures of Young Girls, 19th Century
Three Portrait Miniatures of Young Girls, Early 19th Century. Watercolor, unsigned. Each girl wearing a bonnet cap and white dress. The smallest portrait in a rose gold filled locket case, the middle size in a 10k rose gold locket case with woven hair and 'ALR' monogram cipher to the reverse, and the largest in a brass locket case.
Dimensions: Dimensions overall range from 2 x 1 1/2in to 3 1/2 x 2in.
This lot comes from an Upper West Side, New York City collection that will be featured in a short lecture by noted specialist of portrait miniatures, Elle Shushan. Condition:
Not examined out of the frames. Each portrait appears to be in generally good condition overall. The locket frames with typical wear, toning, scuffs and surface scratches throughout.
