Vintage Penn Atlantic No 14 Casting Reel
Nice looking reel with early plastic, likely Bakelite, side plates, wooden handle knob, and chromed over brass posts. Otto Henze, Penn's founder, designed this to use up excess parts in inventory in anticipation of the war-time shutdown. Due to their inexpensive serviceability and affordable price, the Atlantic became on Penn's most famous reels in their history.
