31pc Handwritten Envelope by Rene Lalique with Aquamarines
Twenty-nine aquamarines found enclosed in folded brown paper envelopes with one-hundred-year-old fountain pen script written by legendary Art Nouveau Bijou founder Rene Lalique. These gems were hand-picked by Rene Lalique himself, who often used the color of water museum quality gems to embellish his surreal and nature inspired jewelry pieces. Decipherable notes on brown packing paper read as follows from left to right: 1 Aigue m 3.25 offert a Marie; Hureau 60, 57, 55, Aigue Marines; Le 1er Janvier 1917. Aquamarines come in a variety of cuts and have rich blue hue with no visible occlusions. Approximate total weight: 20.9g. Envelopes: 10.25"L x 8.25"W each.
