A Set of Division Three Damascene Zodiac Buttons
12 Large 20th century set of Zodiacs by Mario Ballisteros.
Mario's buttons are reminiscent of the early Damascene work produced in Spain where he was from. At the time of the making of these buttons Mario lived in Florida but was an old world craftsman with great talent, as shown in his marvelous work in making Damascene buttons like these. The set of Damascene disks depicting each sign of the zodiac is set in a gold overlayed silver genuine filigree setting. Mario does not make buttons anymore as far as we are aware of, so if you want something special, here is a chance.
Issued: DIVISION 1=PRE 1918 AND DIVISION 3 IS AFTER 1918
Dimensions: SM=Less than 3/4", Medium=3/4" to 1 1/4". Large=1 1/4" and above, extra large=1 3/4" and above
Condition: Unless otherwise noted we find no significant condition concerns except for normal age related wear for the age of these items.
