Roman Gold Ring with Eagle ,Circa 1st - 2nd Century AD
Roman gold ring with three sectioned band , bezel encasing red carnelian intaglio with the stylized image of eagle's head; 3.07 grams, 22.34mm external diameter, 19.90mm internal diameter. Fine condition. From the private collection of a London gentleman, acquired on the Austrian art market in the 2000s.
