Classics. Drisha U’Prisha. Even HaEzer. First edition. Lublin 1638. With signature of R. Yaakov Dovid Biderman of Vishograd.

Classic commentary to the Tur Even HaEzer by R. Yehoshua Falk-Katz, known as the S’MA after his commentary Sefer Me’iros Einayim on the Shulchan Aruch. Subsequent editions erroneously omitted many significant notes that appear in this present original edition. The complete work was titled Beis Yisroel and is divided into two parts; Prisha, containing explanations and commentary, and Drisha, encompassing discourses and Halachic novella.

R. Yaakov Dovid Biderman (1808-1863) was a distinguished Talmid of R. Menachem Mendel of Kotzk. He served as Rav in Kozhnitz and Vishograd. Author of Hago'as MaHaRI"D.
