The composition was written against the composition "Teneh Bikkurim" by Yom Tov Bennet, which criticized the book "Shorshei Emunah" [by Rabbi Shalom Cohen, who was a God-fearing Jew and objected to new ideas regarding the Jewish religion] and Rabbi Shlomo Hirshel, the rabbi of the Ashkenazic community of London. With an English preface.
