She'ilat Ya'akov – the Personal Copy of the Author Rabbi Ya'akov Segal Prager, the Maharam Shik's Son-in-Law– with a Novellae Handwritten by Him – Waitzen, 1906
She'ilat Ya'akov Responsa. Waitzen, 1906. First edition.
The copy of the author, Rabbi Ya'akov Segal Prager, a disciple of the Ketav Sofer and the son-in-law of the Maharam Shik. Served as the rabbi of the towns of Ada and Petravesle.
Rabbi Prager's handwriting is extremely rare!
The title page is missing. On the first leaf that exists, on which was printed "Words to the reader" by the author, he added in his handwriting a nice novellae on the verse "and didst bring him out of Ur of the Kasdim".
The end of what he wrote is unclear since scotch tape was glued onto it for support; however, the basics are completely readable.
74 leaves [originally 102 [4] leaves].
Condition: Fair. Moth signs throughout the book. The first leaves are torn. Practically all the leaves are in reasonable condition since the flaws are especially on the margins of the leaves and not on the text.
